Cynthia Mai Ammann is a photographer based in California and Switzerland. She graduated from the Photography School of Vevey and from University of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL).

Her work mainly reflects on notions of identity, belonging and memory with an approach that oscillates between fiction and documentary. In both her personal and commission work, she constructs her images with a particular attention to feelings and emotions such as nostalgia, warmth and hope.
